🎆 A Mixed Start to 2026
I visited Mexico City over Christmas with my husband and his family, and unfortunately we both came back with the flu. So, instead of doing something cool like watching fireworks set off from the Burj Khalifa or Taipei 101 like we have in past years, we were sick at home watching the finale of Stranger Things from our couch 🤧. This was not the best start to 2026, but on the bright side I found out I had made my first affiliate income for the blog and got paid! Maybe I can break even this year!
With the new year underway, I’ve started planning my 2026 travels. My first trip is going to be next weekend to Las Vegas! I’ve been several times already, but all of my trips were before the Sphere opened, so I wanted to go back to check it out. I didn’t realize how expensive the tickets were though! We’re not interested enough in any of the shows to pay the sky high price, so we’ll just admire it from the outside this time 😅. Good thing Vegas has plenty of repeat value and is close enough that we can always go back.
Another trip we’re planning for is Kenya + Turkey in September. I originally wanted to do Tanzania because the safari there is supposedly better, but given the recent unrest and higher cost we decided to go with Kenya. I’ve never been to Africa before, so I’m excited to check off another continent in addition to two new countries!
